The Board of Education of Bennett School District 29J in the Counties of Adams and Arapahoe,
State of Colorado, calls for nomination of candidates for school directors to be placed on the ballot
for the regular biennial school election to be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.
At this election, three directors will be elected each for a four (4) year term. Term of office to
expire in November of 2022. To be qualified, a candidate must have been a registered elector and
resident of the Bennett School District for at least twelve consecutive months before the election.
A person is ineligible to run for school director if he or she has been convicted of committing a
sexual offense against a child.

A person who desires to be a candidate for school director shall file a written notice of intention
to be a candidate and nomination petition in accordance with law. The first day petitions can be
circulated is August 7, 2019.

Nomination petitions may be obtained on August 7, 2019 at the Office of the Superintendent,
located in Bennett High School at 610 7th Street, Bennett, Colorado 80102. Office hours are
Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Completed petitions should be submitted to
Debra Matis, the School District’s Designated Election Official, no later than 4:00 p.m. on Friday,
August 30, 2019.
