Welcome to the Bennett School District Library Media Center.
The Bennett School District Library Media Center provides information literacy skills to all students K-12. Our innovative practices have been nationally recognized by Follett Library Services, the American Association of School Libraries, Educational Solutions 360, The School Library Journal, and the Congressman Jared Polis Foundation.
The mission of the Bennett School District Library Media Center is to create a student-centered library media center which provides a safe, nurturing environment in which students can successfully seek information and ideas for their educational, informational, and recreational needs. The library seeks to promote an appreciation of literature enabling students to interpret meaning from various forms of literature as they become lifelong readers and learners.
Furthermore, the library seeks to ensure that our students acquire the necessary information literacy skills they will need to become productive learners with skills and knowledge necessary to lead successful meaningful lives in the 21st century. This mission recognizes the essential role of the school library program in the educational process as students reach their full potential.
The educated person is not the person who knows all the answers, but the person who knows where to find the answers.
